IGNOU 29th Convocation Online Registration Form

Instructions for the students:-
1.29th Convocation of the University will be held in April, 2016. Exact date of the Convocation and other details in this regard will be announced in due course.
2.The students who have completed their Programme in December- 2014/June-2015 Term-end Examination will be awarded the Certificate in this Convocation.
3.Students of all the Master Degree, Bachelor Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Diploma Programme may register on line and make the requisite payment to obtain the certificate either in person or by post. 
4.The registration fee for 29th Convocation is  400/- per certificate. 
5.Students of modular programmes like MBA, MCA and M.COM. Etc. are required to remit registration fee @ 400/- per certificate (like Diplomas, PG-Diplomas/Degree as prescribed in the Programme). Students have to take all the certificates, if they have qualified fore more than one module of the Programme. 
6.Students admitted through overseas Partner Institutes and PAN African project may approach at the following e-mails for award of Degree/Diploma and remittance of fee:-

7.The students who would not collect the certificate on the day of Convocation/ not invited in the Convocation, their certificate will be sent to them by the Regional Centre through registered/speed post. 
8.Students of Post Graduate Certificate/Certificate Programmes are not required to register, their certificate will be sent to them after the Convocation. 
9.Last date for online registration is 04th April, 2016. Thereafter, online registration will be closed. 
10.In case of payment failure, student may communicate at the email ID convocation@ignou.ac.in, giving complete details such as Enrolment No., Programme, Name, Date of transaction and payment amount.

ignou Revision of Term End Examination fees

The Finance Committee at its 87th Meeting held on 27.11.2015 vide item no. 87.8.2 recommended for the revision of term end examination fee from Rs. 60/- to Rs. 120/- per course w.e.f. term end examination June 2016, which has duly been approved by the Board of Management at its 124th meeting held on 23.01.2016 vide item no. 124.4.3. Accordingly, the examination fees are to be obtained from the students @ Rs. 120/- per course for TEE June 2016 instead of Rs. 60/-, for which the submission of examination forms commences tomorrow i.e. 1.3.2016.

Regional Centres are in process of sending the letter and the prescribed application form to the eligible students under their region.
  4. On line registration for the students of the above Programmes will be made available soon.
  5. Students of Post Graduate Certificate/Certificate Programmes are not required to register, their certificate will be sent to them after the Convocation. 

Reactivation of IGNOU’s eGyanKosh

Reactivation of IGNOU’s eGyanKosh

IGNOU is reactivating its popular educational resource portal eGyanKosh. In view of the national requirement the University has taken a decision to reactivate the portal on as-is- where-is basis.

IGNOU initiated the development of a knowledge repository named e-GyanKosh (www.egyankosh.ac.in) in October, 2005, to store, index, preserve, distribute and share the digital learning resources developed by the ODL institutions in the country. It emerged as one of the world’s largest educational resource repositories, and the access to the repository was open and free. Self-instructional print material of around 2565 courses (comprising more than forty thousand course modules) and 2389 video programmes of IGNOU have been digitised and uploaded on the repository.
After its public launch in June 9, 2008, the site received more than 20 lakh hits, and was having more than 1,000 visits per day from all over the world. There were more than 3 lakh active registered users of the repository as reported last.The statistics clearly indicates the popularity of e-GyanKosh.

eGyankosh was not only popular amongst the IGNOU community, but also student and teaching community of other educational institutions across the country as well as worldwide.

IGNOU has been playing pivotal role in distance education and as a National Resource Centre for Open and Distance Learning using innovative technologies and methodologies with international recognition and presence. Reactivation of eGyanKosh may also provide an integral base for two major initiatives of MHRD, the National Digital Library (NDL) and the SWAYAM (India MOOCS) programme and similar other platforms. This will in turn be benefitting millions of learner and teacher community in the country.

School of Health Sciences (SOHS): The School of Health Sciences was set up with the objective of augmenting educational avenues and for providing in-service training for medical, nursing, paramedical and allied personnel through the distance education mode.

IGNOU 28th Convocation Online Registration

In this post, I am highlighting  information on IGNOU Convocation topics. Yes the students who have been completed by their degree and programme can now apply online for 28th Convocation to get degree awarded at convocation center which is to be held in the month of july i.e. this month. I am also completed my degree by December 2014 but I am waiting to get my master degree but currently i am not eligible by 28th Convocation. I will get my degree awarded hofully by next convocation. That is might be 29th IGNOU Convocation.

The IGNOU website under the link of Research Degree Programmes provides regular updates on the activities of the Research Unit.

It is envisaged that the Research Programs of the University should go beyond the award of research degrees to lend support to research on issues of importance to society. This could take the form of encouraging research through arranging financial support to fund major / minor projects to be undertaken by the faculty. Starting its operation in 1987, the School of Management Studies today offers a wide range of Programmes. The School follows a system of course-wise registration in its Management Programme.
In the Management Programme, semester system is followed as: January to June (first semester of the year) and July to December (second semester of the year). The following courses are on offer for the years 2016/2017 in First and Second Semesters respectively. The students should opt for registration of those courses only which are on offer during a particular semester.
